Scottish Fire Helmet. Metro Pattern by Hendry of Glasgow. Glasgow Salvage Corps Front. The Glasgow Salvage Corps was established in 1873 and funded by insurance companies. Its men worked along side Glasgow's firefighters to save insured goods and secure buildings after the fire. The G.S.C. was disbanded in 1984.
